Recorder Ensemble Playing

Making music

This course is open to post beginners recorder players who are able to play in at least four different keys and can sight read a simple line of music. It is helpful if participants can play more than one recorder but not a requirement. We will play a variety of music; baroque from the recorder repertoire, some modern pieces arranged for recorders and a piece especially written for the U3A recorder ensemble summer school. We will also play simple pieces to warm up and end each day. I will build in two sessions for small group playing as this has proved popular in the past. You will need recorder/s, music stand, folder for music and a pencil.
