Making Music

Recorder Ensemble

The course is for ‘post-beginners’, with some experience, able to play at sight a simple line of music, with one or two sharps or flats. We would like recorders of all sizes as we shall play a variety of pieces from early to modern, in four or more parts.

This course is about ensemble playing, a group activity when we can learn from listening to one another as well as enjoying the challenge of playing our own line. As in previous years, there will be the opportunity to play in small informal groups, so bring some favourite music with you.

You will need recorder/s, a music stand, a ring binder-type file to keep music together and, an essential, a pencil!
