Music – Recorder

Recorder Ensemble

The Recorder Ensemble is a course for those who are past the beginner stage of recorder playing. It aims to provide an opportunity to play in a large group in four or more harmony parts. We shall play a variety of music from different centuries and styles , from early 16th century, classical, folk tunes and modern pieces. The emphasis is on playing together as a group, but there will be some hints on technique and also the chance within the timetable to make up smaller trios/quartets. If you have never tried a different size of recorder, this could be the time! We will support you!

It should be a few days of really enjoyable music making.

Level of Ability: Students should be able to sight-read and play music with a minimum of 2 sharps and/or 2 flats.
